Interview with Nadia Knight

Tell us a little bit about yourself and what your role in the band is?
Originally from regional NSW, I am a nature lover, I grew up in the countryside, riding horses and dancing. I write music and I am a Vocalist.

What first got you into music? / Who inspired you?
Ballet dancing was what first connected me to music as a child. i was inspired by moving to music, listening to my parent’s albums and doing dance performances in the backyard by making up stories to music.

Who would you most like to collaborate with one day?
I’d like to collaborate with a filmmaker again, I really enjoyed the process the last time I did.

If you could improve one thing in the world, what would it be?
Our minds, including nature connection, & self-awareness. I’m really inspired by Jon Young and his talks on deep nature connection in culture repair.

If not music, what would you be doing in life?
If not music, I would be a painter.

What’s your favourite song of all time?
I appreciate so many different types of music, it would be impossible to choose just one!

“Music for humanity” “Make the world a better place” – tell us what that means to you and how your music aims to accomplish this?
Music for humanity to me, is music that reaches through to a deeper level and moves you. It’s also about something larger than ourselves, something to strive for, for a better world for humanity and for the albatross of the pacific, for all life.
